Kings of Lockdown by Caroline Peckham

4.0

This was the book where Tatum takes back her power, but it went a LITTLE too long for me so I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one. Or maybe I wanted them to move on from the bullying a little quicker...Regardless, this book was still excellent and when Tatum has her "emotional moment" with each guy...Oh my. THE EMOTIONS. My heart for each of them. Saint in the closet with her? Ugh. Kyan explaining about the Unspeakables? Wow. I mean, we already knew that they weren't everything Tatum thought they were, but to truly learn all of what happened...Morally grey, yes, but not without their reasons. Let's not forget Nash too. FINALLY.

This book also had some really funny moments too. The whole squid emoji was HILARIOUS. The text exchange in the beginning with all of them was the funniest thing and was totally each of the guys. Cracked me up. But the best thing was one of Tatum's revenge with the tampons. I laughed sooooo hard. It was so funny.

So while this book has the tug-and-push still in it, we're getting more "tugs" than push from everyone and it's amazing how well we believe the changes in them all. So good.
