Streams of Silver, by R.A. Salvatore

4.0

I think that this book was much better than the first of the Icewind Dale books. The comradery between the four is really really nice, and I liked the opportunity to get to know Catti-brie better (she’d always just been Bruenor’s human daughter). The last ten pages were very exciting, and I was really surprised at the death of Bruenor (or is he?). This book ended superbly. Drizzt is such an awesome character, so much that when the plot is chiefly dealing with him, the book seems to disappear. After being told of his new scimitars (and the loss of the other magical one), I am interested to find out where he gets them, and if he gets them in the next book, the next series, or whenever. There’s as much depth to this one as there was to any of the original three, and lots and lots of themes that are very applicable. I hope that the next book is just as good.
