⁉️Where are my fantasy girlies⁉️

I had the pleasure of reading an eARC of Riftrider, book 1 of Emily Lankow's new series. Thank you so much to @author.emilylankow for allowing me to read your work.

Y'all, here's what I loved:

🧞 LGBTQIA+ rep
🧞 A very unique magical world. I often find that a lot of fantasy worldbuilding can be overwhelming or a carbon copy of other contemporary fantasy books. The world of Riftrider truly stands on its own, almost combining the sci-fi concept of alternate galaxies (or in this case "realms") with magical systems we are more familiar with reading in fantasy.
🧞 Excellent choice of magical characters and creatures! I loved seeing centaurs in the same world as djinns, sirens, hell hounds, and ghosts. I feel like I don't often see all of these in the same world!
🧞 SO. MUCH. EMOTIONAL. COMMUNICATION. Folx, these characters may have some of the best communication skills I have seen in a cast in a long time. I loved that there were so few cases of a miscommunication trope. I also love that the MCs bonded so strongly, it was truly very sweet. I'm getting will they /won't they vibes between all 3 of them.
🧞 Great setup for book 2! In the best way, I feel like a lot of this story sets us up for the sequel. We have a solid understanding of our characters, the world, and our characters' mission. I'm really interested to see how their schemes come to fruition in the sequel. I have some predictions.
