This collection of creation stories from Maya tradition is well told and well put together. Rigoberta Menchu is the perfect person to share these stories with the world, and I count it among her important work in activism. Many of these stories had familiar elements from other cultures, but many were still entirely unique to the Maya.

Recommended for anyone unsure of where to start reading the oral traditions of the Maya.
