I have read a LOT of WWII fiction over the years and was surprised I had never heard of Nancy Wake. I was fascinated by her, drawn in from the very first page and kept captivated until the last. However, I read the Author's Note at the end and while thrilled that Marceline was not a real person (although certainly there were many, many like her), I felt like the author tried so hard to keep things mostly accurate and this was an enormous liberty to take with this story.
