The weight of a cherry blossom by Shruti Buddhavarapu

Here begins the introspective journey which the author as well as the Protagonist of this book takes us on. The weight of a cherry blossom is an autobiography of a person who relocates from one place to another - be it the pleasent chennai or the damp Mumbai. This book comprises of her life's tales and experiences which is, at times, very sentimental and the next moment it's funny like anything. To sum up, it's a fable of rootlessness and belonging in the modern world - and more of self discovery. Shruti tells us about everything - her childhood, friendships, fears, family relationships, etc, which is very captivating. Learning about someone else's life is always interesting.

Shruti, through this book, tries to explain us the major part of her life and everything related to it - her illness, despair, etc makes the book as pure as platinum. As the book proceeds, I was just not able to put this book down - Learning about Shruti's life is that interesting.

I loved the narration throughout. It was so simple, easy and poetic at the same point of time. It was very calming to read this book with a very alluring narration. It makes me feel stressed as well as relaxed to know about adulthood so closely. Another non fiction which I'd love to recommend to all the people who are a fan of autobiographies.
