I thought this was a good read, nice short chapters that kept it flowing well. There were some creepy moments in this that gave me chills and I’m slowly becoming obsessed with witchy books. Although I enjoyed this book, I wasn’t dying to pick it back up again.

It’s definitely a unique story and touched on the barbarity of the witch trials in Scotland. I feel like the author could have done more to highlight the misogyny and loss of the dead’s right to be remembered. She highlights this in her author note, but that didn’t come across in the story.
