A horror novel set in post civil war Kansas. There are witches, ghosts, & demons. Lawmen, farmers, ranchers and a young girl (or is it a boy?). It's a big cast that can sometimes get confusing as to who we are dealing with.
The dialogue especially can be quite funny, which juxtaposes with the tragedy and horrors seen on the prairie during the pioneer days (starvation, robbery, murder).
Audiobook performance was top notch, John Pirhalla brings the many characters to life.
