Never thought I would say it, but: too much swearing.
Stylistically speaking, this book is a mess. It feels incredibly jarring seeing serene descriptions of nature and quasi-religious insights juxtaposed with discussions of someone's "hot dad".
I also felt that the ending was a little abrupt. It read like a TV episode that was coming to a close (which is not how I want to experience books).
Also, that monk was weirdly horny.
