This was a teenage favorite of mine, some 15 years ago. There is a LOT of fanart of Virginia Dare somewhere out there. I was nervous to reread, because the biggest thing I remembered was the Rojhaz plot and that didn’t age well. But I’m incredibly glad I did. I wish this hadn’t been tied into the main Marvel universe at all and functioned as its own What If-style story, but nonetheless this book is glowing with creativity. I’m particularly fond of Javier’s School and the Fantastick.
