Definitely one of the best installments in this series. A well thought out plot that wasn't too convoluted, and pretty scary baddies evocative of those in Waters of Mars. I liked that we got to know some of the minor characters well and they actually stayed throughout the entire journey and not just a couple of scenes (Keisha and Vida, and tbh I love me a good Mickey appearance). I wish that Rose was a bit more closely involved, she felt very separate for a big portion of the book, and in this way Vida sort of felt like she took Rose's place. But also strangely the Doctor was on his own for a fair chunk of the story too. I guess this made it unique from some of the other stories because other people got a chance to shine - I really liked following Vida/Keisha/Mickey's input to solve the problem. The Doctor is also quite cheeky and smitten with Rose in this which is always going to score high in my books.
