This was a classic Hilderbrand book, which meant I was sucked into the storyline and characters pretty immediately, which I love. And the changing POVs really added some dimension to the story, as well. On the flip side, as soon as I was done and contemplated what I read, I wasn't entirely sure I liked it? I really liked Irene, Huck, and Maia but I felt the rest of the characters had some growing up to do, honestly. Baker and Cash, especially. Anyway, this is only the first of the series, and so there's room for them to grow, and I enjoy Hilderbrand's story telling so much that I'll definitely read the rest.
