Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

4.0

Wow oh wow! I read this book in less than two days, which is just a testament in how fast paced the story was.

The story followed three sisters, all with supposedly three distinct gifts, they are all destined to fight for the death and one to become queen.

I loved that the author chose to follow these three sisters separately, included their worlds and included their own set of friends.

I thought that the supporting characters were at times far more fascinating as character than the main girls. For example Jules, Elizabeth and Natalia.

I loved the slow build towards the main event, though three chapters before the author sped through so fast it was like a steam role.

The ending cliff hanger was very interesting. Though there was absolutely no Easter eggs to validate it.

My favorite sister was Mira, which might be different from everyone else opinion for obvious reasons. I just loved how consistent she was for majority of the book.

In the end I gave the book 4 out of 5! Great use of character build and world. Lacking in imagery and logic.
