this was kind of trite, contrived, feel good stuff but if you like that then...this is the book for u! it had a For Women message, which i guess was nice, but i mostly felt like i was reading pre-packaged "this is feminism!" stuff and it kind of made me feel a bit gross. like for a book so interested in Women and their relationships w/ themselves and others, it only v superficially touched on stuff about the objectification of women in shows like this, while patting itself on the back for even bringing it up. i really liked jackie, but i found it odd that she's the loud ballbuster when she's a black woman.

i felt a bit nitpicky about this because it's clearly froth but eh! whatever! i just didn't like it. i finished it so as i had it finished for my online book club thing so i can read the other people's reviews and disagree vehemently in my head bc that's how i do, i guess.
