Just Let Go by Courtney Walsh

4.0

On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Just Let Go by Courtney Walsh is honey lavender ice cream. A frigid dessert with surprising yet tasty flavors that melts across the tongue. Dark chocolate flakes sprinkled cut through the sweet.

[Copy received. Opinions always my own.]

Quinn, a new flower shop owner, has her life perfectly planned, and then Olympian Grady crashes into town and into Quinn's life. For all his infuriating wildness, Grady makes a place for himself in the small town. Quinn isn't so sure what to do with this man, who seems set on flipping her world upside down.

Courtney Walsh came into my world with her novella from the Where We Belong novella collection. I was eager to read another book by her. Just Let Go brings to life two very different types of people, a perfect example of "opposites attract." I tend to love this type of tension although I did want Quinn to soften up a bit faster! Both Quinn and Grady had to grow for their relationship to work, and I liked seeing that reality.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and actually had to face a couple of issues in my own life (namely fear) that this novel brought right up to the surface (thanks but no thanks...hahaha). That's the true gift of story. While the characters were going on an emotional journey, I was too--not just with their journey but with my own.

If you love romance, winter settings, and "opposites attracting," then I think you'll really love Just Let Go by Courtney Walsh.
