The plot of this one felt loosely tied together. I was extremely disappointed by the ending.

Everette lying about the curse timeline was very stupid, it negated almost everything up until that point. And another thing that mad no sense. Why couldn't Everette use his ghost abilities on Charlie earlier! It would have saved us a whole month of conflict!

I had a hard time connecting to the characters, especially Gretchen. It's kinda difficult to root for a character who's con person and knowingly takes advantage of people. She had some serious daddy issues and it doesn't get resolved. Also, there were points when Charlie was mean to her and called her names. And this girl just completely brushes it off. Like I would have left that farm and his cursed ass so quickly. But I can't totally blame him cause Gretchen sucks. Everette the ghost was funny at first but he got old quickly since he turned out to be a perv.

I highly recommend her other book, Mrs. Nash's Ashes cause at least that book has good characters and heart. Overall, the characters in this book were awful and I'm so glad I'll never have to read about them again. Good riddance!
