The Curse: A Shocking True Story of Superstition, Human Sacrifice and Cannibalism by Ryan Green
4.0
This was a wild ride and a wonderful read.
As soon as it got to the part where Leonarda murdered the three women, I finally started to understand the lengths of her mental insanity and narcissism. She murdered three women who just wanted to find happiness and trusted her with their very lives.
It is scary to learn that the people you should be the most wary of are those closest to you. Virginia, the last woman to be murdered, was like her best friend and trusted her with her life. Yet, Leonarda still proceeded with killing her for a protection ritual that most likely didn't even work.
