Sour Candy by Kealan Patrick Burke

I enjoyed this freaky, creepy kid novella. It was well done and didn't feel like the author was trying to cram too much into such a little book. The plot, though something I've seen before was still executed wonderfully and the rapid deterioration of our MMC added to the creep factor. I loved the ending too, I was a little worried it was going to have a happy ending, that would've been disappointing. I mean who loves a happy ending in horror? Highly recommend this one and it left me with high interest in this author's backlist. I'm going to read Kin next.
