I did not take to this book right away. I almost decided to stop reading it because I was not enjoying the story and how it was coming together. However, I have awarded this novel five stars!!! This is thanks to it's message, that a mother protects her child and the introduction of new characters. Brooke was one that I loved. Her personality and character was much like Win and how they are able to relate to each other and know each other on deep level. It made me so happy that she kill the woman that caused her pain. I was, there are no words as to how I felt when I got to the last page and it revealed that Win had a daughter!!!!! And that she is dating Mickey. Myron got married, finally. His dream come true. I found it interesting that Coben decided to write from the perspective of Win if only for a few chapters. I gave me a real insight and I realised how my perception of Win was wrong. And how he is not so cold as you would think but in fact just does not express himself. I that that the ending of this novel was one the best ones that I have come across.
