The Daydreamer by Ian McEwan

4.0

I have to say the cover on my copy was a bit freaky! So I wasn’t really sure what I was going to get. What I got was a collection of short stories as such, based around the daydreams of a young lad. The stories were actually quite sweet, I remember myself daydreaming at times I was a fairy so the daydreams of Peter were very readable. I particularly liked the beginning of Vanishing Cream with the description of the kitchen draw, I think we all have a draw like that which contains everything from screwdrivers to scissors to sticky tape, drawing pins and pencils.
