Letters from Father Christmas by J.R.R. Tolkien

3.0

This was a fun, light Christmas read from one of the great writers of all-time. His letters to his children start simple and becomes gradually more Tolkien-esque as elves get detailed backstories, goblins attack, and the North Polar Bear gets up to ever more shenanigans.

I only wish the correspondence wasn't one-sided and we could see the letters his children wrote to Father Christmas. It would add to the sweetness as they mature each subsequent year.
