4 solid stars
The intimate romance scenes could have been kicked up a notch. They were close to 'Fast Food'. Nice, but not hot and steamy. They are what I would call 'Adult', but just barely.
The writing and flow is off the charts perfection.
Loaded with surprising twist & turns.
Great mystery and crime elements.
Very well done suspense. Loaded with action.
I'm impressed enough that I am reading Book#2 now.

4.5 Stars
The two MC's, Jessa McConnell and Jax Andersson are great characters. You really feel connected to them. They are very well written.
There is suspense, action, twist and turns on virtually every page. It definitely keeps you involved in the story.
The writing itself flows easy and smooth.
I really enjoyed the story.
I did find 2 minor errors. But my only real problem with them is the intimate scenes. They tend to be a bit rushed and not quite detailed enough. They really need to be more descriptive. They just need to be taken up about 2 notches. They will start to get steamy, then fade to black. Until I see her up these sections of her stories, I cannot give her more than 4 stars.

I don't know what happened.
The 1st two books were pretty good.
This one was...... Disappointing.
Very little character build. Both Cowboy & Charlotte have been mentioned in the previous books just enough to tease us about their ongoing temptation for each other. So this book should have given us all the character build to help us really connect to them.
That did not happen. All we have to go on is mostly what we already knew about them from the previous books. So there is very little about what makes them tick or bring them to life for the reader.
There are a couple of adult intimate scenes. They were okay. In truth, they came close to being 'run-of-the-mill'.
It was hard to feel any emotional connection to either mc.
The suspense was jumpy and haphazard.
While there were a couple of decent scenes, mostly it just was not well written. The suspense did not flow smoothly. It felt like half the story was missing.
I don't remember finding any editing errors.
Because this book was so disappointing I looked back at my notes from the other books in this series I read.
It is those notes that convinced me to continue to check out the authors other books and not base my experience with her writing on this one.
🤔 As the song goes "Two outta 3 ain't bad"
