An Exclusive Love: A Memoir by Johanna Adorján

dark emotional reflective sad medium-paced

4.5

A thoroughly intriguing and heartbreaking novel-cum-memoir. Its continuous style worked really well and seamlessly moved from re-enactment to interview.  Adorján has written beautifully here; the culmination of life has been put so eloquently, you can't help but feel the love between Pista and Eve leap out of the page.

However, it does have links to suicide and (eluded to) methods of carrying it out, so not one read if you need to distance yourself from that kind of content.
