This book is my first true slow burn, enemies to lovers, why choose, rockstar romance (with sword-crossing if you catch my drift)! The spice be extra spicy in this book! I love how it wasn’t too slow of a burn but just enough to keep you hanging on. I know near the end, I was about ready to throw my phone across the room with some of the twists and turns cause it had me gripped so tightly.

Braxton, our main female, is 22 but our men are close to their 30s. We also get a bit of religious trauma in it as well as what rockstars can experience when they’re so well-known. But we also see that these guys are still human. They put on a show when it’s needed, but they’re just like anyone else.

I also liked how the FMC has both chromesthesia and lexical-gustatory synesthesia. It added some elements to her moods and what she experiences so we can relate better with her.

I seriously loved this book and there’s so much that I just can’t explain it all without giving it all away. My emotions were all over the place with it. It would be something I would for sure read again if I ever wanted to. I would recommend checking out this book if you’re new to why choose romances as it is very well written!
