This romantic story with time travel is flirty, at times, but delves deeper with more character development and emotional depth than most romances I read. There is grief, mid-life career crisis, and strong friendships, including queer rep in supporting characters. 

The author's note about her own life and grief after suicide was very moving and gave even more depth to my reflection after reading.
