I loved it! It’s a long book with a heap of stuff to remember for a legend but overall enjoyable read. I do love the world building and the dragons, though I feel a lot of the dragon elements were more for just extra fluff, maybe the next books will have more direction with them.
MFC (Raeve) is a tortured bleeding heart assassin that lived in the slums, not too out of the norm for most MFC lately but liked the twist they give her story in the end.
MMC (Kaan), large tribal king with strong feelings of fated mates vibes. He comes into the scene way too fast in my opinion and then is almost super glued to the MFC side, still nice back and forth between them.
I do hope the next book gives more POV of other characters in the book, those that seems like it’s part of the of Kaan’s kingdom and how they work around Raeve. Also the rebellion group Fíur du Ath that Raeve is apart of, lot of mystery there that I hope gets revealed soon.
I would recommend for those wanting to get into a higher fantasy book, like how you needed to learn all the characters in Game of thrones, it’s a lot! (lol)
There were some cheesy parts, and a lot of inner anguish over not getting close to other people because it gets them killed, if you don’t mind those parts you will enjoy this read. :)
