i liked this one much better than the first two, and i think it is the best book in the series; i dont know if thats partly because i read this one as an ebook instead of listening to an audiobook like i did the first two, but it felt like there was a definite difference in writing.

this book is split into three different pov’s, so we aren’t just stuck in evangeline’s grating mind, and in this book i didn’t notice the overly repetitive dragging on narration that bothered me so much during the first two books. and although i was still screaming at evangeline throughout, this book was to me personally leaps and bounds better for her relationship chemistry with jacks than the other two…nothing like some high stakes outright PINING LONGING PAINFUL YEARNING and getting into the mind of the love interest to get you invested in some fantasy lovers.

idk if i would ever reread the series because there wasn’t enough gratifying fluff epilogue established relationship scenes for me to put myself thruough it all again; i wish we’dve gotten a bit more after everything i suffered, but the couple is cute and it did get a bit swoony in this book i won’t lie so by the end i did like them as a couple they kinda won me over.

also i face cast jacks as ricky from zb1 and you can’t change my mind!
