'& it seems to me that she became no longer a woman – but some thing else – the moment she wanted some thing – & did not say please –'
A beautifully written book that holds themes of femine power and sexuality, as well as a discussion of witchcraft in an era that reflects the medieval witch-craze.
This is a book that I feel deserves a higher level of recognition, not just for the story it weaves but also for Kirsty Logan's beautiful style of writing.
