The Nesting by C.J. Cooke

4.0

Loved the atmosphere of the story, the setting and all the superstitions mixed with nature and help saving the planet vibes was pretty good and clever. I also loved how astonishingly real and sympathetic to mental illness is and how it affects us all differently and how it also might help us believe in the paranormal or what we perceive to be odd. What took me away at times from the story were certain characters that I got a bit frustrated at and felt the author was trying a but too hard at certain points to get the plot moving. I may have guessed what happened at the end which deflated me a little but the whole build up was marvellous and I did like the ending definitely tidied up at the end. This is one that will haunt me and I am glad to accept this apparition.
