We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman

dark emotional hopeful inspiring reflective sad fast-paced

4.5

This book was sad, obviously. For her first adult novel, I think Newman’s writing was acceptable. There was definitely little literary devices used for style purposes, but the story and the characters are what drove the book. The plot was predictable because, duh. But I shed a few tears when the inevitable occurred and the beauty that comes with sadness and grief. Definitely a book that I can see being comforting and humbling in times of loss, and it’s fantastic for a good cry (like your favorite drama, a walk to remember lol)
