World After by Susan Ee
3.0
3 Stars
This book didn't completely feel necessary. It was mostly Penryn on her own, learning more about what the angels were doing. Other than the end, it felt a little bit like filler but to be fair, that might just be because I missed the romance and dynamic between Raffe and Penryn.
This trilogy is very, very dark in a few places. The graphic scenes will probably stick with me for a while. If I was a pre-teen reading this, I'd probably have nightmares. People being buried alive, having their bodily juices sucked out while alive, and so on. Susan Ee has a very strong future for writing horror.
Hopefully the third book leaves a better mark ,and ends the trilogy well.
