The main character is a half-Mexican who goes to Mexico to learn more about her cultural identity- but then somehow ends up involving herself with violent men and a drug conspiracy because the author has decided that best represents Mexico. She then mooches off her wealthy ex-boyfriend but talks shit about him all the time, making her blind to her own hypocrisy. She has almost 0 backbone when it comes to her romantic relationships and bends at any criticism that gets leveled at her regarding her issues with identity. She calls her own brother a w*tb*ck and is jealous that he is more in touch with his Mexican heritage than she is so she throws a fit about it.
Moderate: Drug abuse, Drug use, and Toxic relationship
Minor: Violence and Deportation
