The Sorcerer Heir by Cinda Williams Chima

And the series is done! This was a great wrap up of a fun series that introduced a plethora of fun characters and interesting magic and lore. The story took quite a few twists and turns, and was packed with emotion.

Leesha had a larger role and she definitely has changed a lot since the first book, though I'm not sure if I loved her or not. That said, I still found her to be a good character, though hands down my favourites were Jonah and Emma. Emma matured a lot and made some difficult choices, and Jonah was just layer upon layer of heartache and sacrifice. I didn't know how things were going to turn out for them, and was all but begging for this poor duo to get a break!

The story itself was very well put together and paced, and I never felt there was too much time being dwelt in one area, despite the length of the book. That said, there were a couple instances that didn't quite seem to wrap up exactly as I anticipated and I kind of hoped for a little bit more. It would have made the ending a little more solid for me, but I still think it ended on a nice note.

Nitpicking aside, I really did enjoy this series and it introduced me to a great author who I truly want to read more of.
