I did not enjoy this book. I found it hard to digest, the characters unimaginative, and the overall story very lackluster. I really enjoyed Kerouac’s “On the Road” and I thought his inventive storytelling and unique prose would be repeated in this book, but they were not; I instead felt like I was being dragged by my hair across a poorly sanitized bar floor for hours on end while someone recited terrible slam poetry they wrote during a 3 day bender.
