Great read. Much stronger in the second half than the first in my opinion. Some scenes will be forever burned in my brain, such as .
While the overall concept is a bit outlandish, the book does a good job at making it fit into the story's worldbuilding, which in turn really makes you care for the characters and leaves you always questioning what's going to come next. The plot also managed to take me by surprise quite a few times, which I always appreciate.
Overall 3.5, but I'll round it to 4 for scarring my soul with that scene.
