Marrs always spins a good story that you can’t put down. I did enjoy it very much as I did his other works.
The downfall was that I felt it failed to deliver its ending. It was very much an information dump at the end to close off the story and although the very end of it was “feel good” and “righteous”, the delivery fell short. The ending just didn’t carry out the high suspense of the whole story.
The characters I also didn’t really feel for. I didn’t “bat” for anyone and in a story like this one, I thought I would at some point.
