Strangers Drowning: Grappling with Impossible Idealism, Drastic Choices, and the Overpowering Urge to Help by Larissa MacFarquhar

4.0

As a prolific people pleaser, I thought that this book would be more centered towards people pleasing but it was much more about do-gooders, Good Samaritans, and the most selfless people in the world. While I enjoyed learning and reading these peoples' stories and actions, I was expecting the book to focus on the broader act of putting others first. If you want to read about good people and their stories, it's an intriguing read for sure.
