The Cracks Between Us by Caitlin Moss
5.0
What a beautiful debut novel. Caitlin Moss’s writing is a breath of fresh air. Her writing is so calming and hits you at the same time.
I read Sixteen Summers first and this is the second book of hers that I have read. The main female characters are so beautifully written. She brings out their strengths and vulnerability in such an amazing blend.
I always look out for a book that talks about marriage, life after marriage. This was a perfect pick. Aila is a perfect mother, perfect wife, until she is not. Her character is so relatable. She wants to be seen, wants to be recognized. She keeps a smile plastered on her face for her children, her husband, for society, until one day when she just gives in to what her heart wants.
It is a beautiful story of living for your family, having faith in God, making mistakes and second chances.
