This was my second time reading this book. I read it the first time over 30 years ago. I loved it then and I loved it again! The story draws you in and you become so invested in the characters and their plights that it’s hard to put down.  My only complaint is the long descriptions of landscape and environment but it’s easy to skim those sections. The amazing story telling and depth of the characters is more than enough to overcome some verbosity with descriptions. I’m curious how much of the clan life is based on some truths or if it’s all speculation. Either way it’s interesting to read of the traditions and practices of the clan and wonder if history is represented in some form.  It’s a wonderful book and one of my all time favorites!
