I really appreciated that this multiple POV story had multiple narrators. It is really sad and touches on pretty heavy topics of labor trafficking, poverty, and missing and murdered women but without it feeling like tragedy porn or so heavy that you're left feeling hopeless at the end. Instead, we get to see how Nisha has lived a full life and both been loved and loved deeply. It is really beautiful. This book is also such a great example of why I love fiction because I learned so much about Cyprus and its history and environment as well as about Sri Lankan culture and realities.
