La Vie à mille décibels by Rachael Lucas

5.0

I loved this book! The ins and outs of teenage life from the perspective of a girl with Asperger's. This book interested me because I work with a lot of children with ASD and it's really interesting to read about a teenage girl trying to get through the day to day routines.
I absolutely loved Grace as a fun, quirky character who is honest and funny. Anna her best friend is also really understanding and genuinely a brilliant bestie. Also, GABE! How cute is he?!
All the characters are fab, even the dreaded Holly Carmichael is brilliant because she is so believable.
I can't not talk about Mabel, I get the feeling that she brings a bit of serenity and calming influence into Grace's life, kind of like a lifeline when Grace feels overwhelmed.
I would say that this short book is crammed with plotlines, in a good way. You feel like you get to know Grace and co. really well and at the end you're like AHHH WHAT?!
It's a fabulous read and one I will definitely recommend to everyone!
