Stitching Palms is a great paranormal mlm story. I really liked the magic system, because it's not the typical kind of magic you'll find in every fantasy book. I adored the characters (especially Morgen) and the romance was written very well. There was tension between the characters from their very first meeting and I liked how their relationship evolved without any drama rooted in their feelings for each other, since it's not a pure romance book.
In the first half of the book I was a bit confused about how the magic system worked, because I haven't read the other books yet. You can read it as a stand alone but I would recommend reading the other books from this series/world first as it probably makes it easier to understand what's going on. Nevertheless, after a while I was able to figure out the most important parts of the system.
I was struggling to decide if I want to rate this book 3.5 or 4 stars. However, I decided to go with 3.5 stars as I feel like the book's missing something. It's a really great story but the main problem is resolved quite fast in my opinion. The book is only a bit over 200 pages, and the pace in the beginning was great but the end probably could've been drawn out more, since the characters didn't struggle a lot with resolving the problem.
Overall, Stitching Palms is still a fantastic book and an enjoyable short read for in-between, and I will definitely read the other books.
