My Ramyeon Girl by Nethra A.

3.0

Korean fantasy coming live. 'My Ramyeon Girl' by Nethra A, takes us to Korea where Jung Su is a Hallyu star, wrapped in a recent controversy, when he meets with an Indian girl, Meena, at an old Ramyeon place. From their first meeting, his interest grows. But when their friendship and budding relationship flashes out, life won't be as easy. Will their relationship survive the fan hate? Can Meena handle the incoming racism?

This is for real, every Korean series coming to live. It's a fun read. Being a Kdrama fan, I loved the way the story progressed. The budding emotions and the hard life the Korean stars have to lead, thanks to the fans and paparazzi were well narrated. It made my Indian heart so happy. I could relate to it on so many levels, especially the cliches and the slang used.

But, there were a few errors here and there. The story was a bit confusing at places, might have been because of inconsistency. While I liked the characters, I couldn't see any real character development apart from Jung Su going through a romantic change.

Overall, a book that I would recommend to Kdrama or Kpop Indian fans because I'm not sure whether this book will cater to the reading needs of other readers.
