So I definitely had this book mixed up with the similarly titled The Mutiny on Board the HMS Bounty which is a nonfiction account of the mutiny written by the captain who was mutinied. I own both so I feel like this was an ok mistake to make.

Anyway, this is a fictionalized account of the mutiny, unfortunately focusing on the most boring part: the people who didn't actually mutiny, nor were they mutinied. They were just kind of along for the ride. I wanted to know more about Christian and the mutineers who ended up on Pitcairn Island, not the folks who just chilled in Tahiti for like four years until a British ship showed up and took them back to England to be court martialed. Even the mutiny itself was only like 10 pages long. I'm looking forward to reading Bligh's account, since at least it will cover how he and his crew got themselves saved.
