Full Steam Ahead, Felix: Adventures of a famous station cat and her kitten apprentice by Kate Moore

dark emotional funny relaxing sad slow-paced

3.75

Mostly relaxing with mild humour, but it does get quite sad and emotional.

2 chapters deal with the death of a young colleague,it is quite drawn out and sad and unnecessarily repetitive.
If you wish to skip it,you won't be missing much, other than two of the colleagues start dating slowly .
Chpt 15 (shocks and sadness) & 16 ( time to saygoodbye).Chapter 17 also has the death of the granpa of the little girl going blind.

The trip to the groomers was comical but also sad how Felix absolutemy hated it.

In this 2nd book the author comes across a lot more as nosy and trying to get people emotional, picking out mostly Felix fans that are dying,or disabled, not really putting the focus on the cat. It seem insensitive how she states that one of the station babies was an accidental pregnancy.

"Felix the Facebooker" chapter from book 1 is repeated 🤦‍♀️
Mostly relaxing and heartwarming.  The sad topics and close to shouting dialogue in the audiobook make it less so.
