The Whole30: The 30-Day Guide to Total Health and Food Freedom by Melissa Hartwig Urban, Dallas Hartwig
3.0
I read this book because I wanted to know more about the Whole30 diet that colleagues at work were planning on starting in the New Year. I picked this book up, but realized that this book is really the companion book to It Starts With Food which is the book that details The Whole30 diet.
This book has more food advice and recipes that you can refer to as you do the Whole30 diet. It does give an overview of the diet, but not the details. My takeaway after reading this and looking at The Whole30 website: I am planning on doing the Half30 (my version). I am not going to eliminate everything that they say too. I will cut out alcohol, sugar and processed foods - which I feel is more realistic and will not put my body in a state of extreme ketosis which is what the Whole30 diet is really all about.
