“My name is Harriet Manners, and I’ll always be a geek.” It’s the one thing Harriet has always known, but when she has to move to New York, she starts to think that maybe she could be more than just a geek. Suddenly she’s on the other side of the world, she isn’t talking to her friends, she has to try and build a brand (according to her new model-stylist friend Kenderall) and someone other than her boyfriend is making advances on her.
As always, I loved this book. It was just as funny as all the other books in the series and had me completely gripped. The characters were just as loveable as always, although I felt we didn’t see as much as I would have liked of the original characters- Richard, Annabel, and Wilbur- the new characters weren’t nearly as likable. I found many of the turns the book took very predictable, possibly because I’ve read it before, but I loved it nonetheless. The writing style makes it easily enjoyable and a very quick read.
