Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth by Oliver Jeffers

3.0

I'm kind of torn. The illustrations are great, and the message is also great- tolerance, empathy, kindness- all the good stuff we need kids to hear about. But... I'm never sure how to read a book like this to a kid- one where there are lots of asides (the space/sky spread is kind of complicated). And I'm not sure the target age for this one, either. I've talked myself into an extra star- but I'm still not sure about my feelings towards it. It is nice to have a book with a good dad in it, though.
