The Paris Vendetta by Steve Berry
3.0
Rating: I liked it☺️
2019’s Around the year in52 books: 19. A book by an author who has more than one book on your TBR
This one is about Napoleon, a secret treasure, an Illuminati like group —the Paris club— that influences world events for financial gain, and Thorvaldsen’s vendetta against the man responsible for his son murder.
Something was missing, I wasn’t as interested in this story as the others I’ve read, I’m reading them in order of publication. It is entertaining and fast paced but I wasn’t invested in it and I can’t pin point what, but something was off. Still if the premise is appealing to you, I recommend it.

Spoiler
The club was after Napoleon’s treasure. Thorvaldsen dies, killed by Ashby, the man he wanted to kill. He had a falling out with Malone, they never got the chance to make peace, that was sad.Something was missing, I wasn’t as interested in this story as the others I’ve read, I’m reading them in order of publication.
