It's a psychological short story that had real life impact. It was such a short story and yet it was tense and hold true 

The domestication on women and leaving them ignorant like a child and treating them as one was a big part of this story. 

The slow descend into madness is potrayed really well and it was intriguing to watch.

And later I found out that this story has lots of symbolism at play. Really thought provoking.
